Fred Iselin, one of my great heroes from the early (early!) Aspen days, insisted that "skiing is a symphony". He got tired of watching all these "itsy bitsy turns" of the early sixties. Today, we could say the same thing about "cruising".
A run should consist of a few short turns, followed by a long swooping turn with a nice hop over a bump, and then dive into a gulley, and then off into the bumps. Mix it up. Make it interesting. Make it a dance. Conduct your own symphony.
